Electric Ant Zine and Angie Wang

Because I love Lady Gaga, I found out through multiple sources about the Prison For Bitches fanzine put together by Ryan Sands and Michael DeForge. The fanzine is really great, and when I ordered it I also got Electric Ant zines 1 and 2, which are also fucking great. I'm hoping that if I click enough links and names involved in these zines, I will find more amazing independent things to buy and read.

My favorite artist who has illustrations in all three zines is Angie Wang. That blog I just linked is her fashion illustration blog. I like it because she breaks down the outfits of what her illustrations are wearing.
Also, here is her other art blog. She did one of my favorite Sailor Moon art pieces ever.

I adore the way she draws faces, which (I'm sure are supposed to) reminds me of Ukiyo-e, and her fashion sense which I can't even describe. The colors in the Sailor Moon piece make me think of doodling in Paint back in the day (and sometimes these days too!).
